Shuttle Barebones and also CPU's

Anyone got one??

Are they good??

Looking at the Shuttle SN68PTG5.



Also CPU's

I will need an AMD AMDx2 Anyone got any thoughts on the:
5600 (Dual Core 2GHz)
or the
4400 (Dual Core 2.3GHz)
Just for mainly basic home use

    I liked mine. Downside is the PSU fans are noisy so it's common to see them getting changed for ones from quietpc.com. I sold mine to my mate 3 years ago and it's still running great although the built in network port died.

    Take no notice of the fact they only have small rated PSUs. They're extremely efficient and will handle any hardware you can put in them.

    I've got two, and I'm very impressed with the quality of build and ease of assembly, particularly given the slightly more complex heatpipe cooling.

    They are relatively expensive, but you do tend to pay more for better design and construction.

    I prefer the P-series chassis ones, as the hard drive carrier trays are very simple to use, and the hard drive area has it's own cooling - though, as per the previous post, that increases fan noise a bit.
