I'm trying to limit wheat and dairy to one meal a day, and use potatoes and rice as my main carbs but it's difficult when you're addicted to cheese and pasta like I am!

Have you tried wheat free pasta? To me, it doesn't taste much different to pasta made with wheat.

i had my gall bladder removed just over 2 years ago and i have problems digesting too much fat .. at home this is easy to manage (i try not to eat fat heavy meals but if i am out at a resteraunt or somebodies house it is harder) i use enzyme digest £6 from holland and barrett for 100. they work well but come in a huge jar so i carry a few in a small pot in my bag for emergiencies. for instance we had chocy crosients for breakfast at work today and i took a couple to stop me having problems during the day. try them they cant do any harm and if they work for you all well and good. the ones i use are veggie which is good as i suffer from meat protien intollarence - many are not!

I use that too ( and have had cholecystectomy) and have had no problems since. My tummy used to go from flat to 9 months pregnant within half an hour of eating.

Nothing to lose by trying them.
  • I find Optibac really helpful to stop bloating generally, it's a probiotic and I just got my order from healthandgoodness so I got the Antibloat for free - Jane there is really helpful, so it might be worth dropping her a line, but the offer on her site is here: http://www.healthandgoodness.com/acatalog/Optibac_Probiotic_Supplement.html
