Please help. I'm unsure if I should sign up for a DMP, or carry on as I am in the hope that things will get better. I'm self-employed, owe approx. £60k, and am in a constant state of panic that I won't earn enough per week to pay all my monthly minimum payments. I don't always make it and either skip a payment or borrow from my partner, (i've used up all my savings) and even when I do I never seem to have any money left over. I've been worrying about my situation more and more recently to the point that i've been dreading getting out of bed, and my health is suffering. I'm self-employed and keep hoping my business will grow "soon", but i'm getting more and more pessimistic for the future, when I used to feel the complete opposite. My income per month ranges from approx. £1,500 - £1,800, and £1,100 of that goes towards my debts. Would I even be eligible for a DMP as my income isn't guaranteed, and am currently meeting my minimum payments?
Apologies for the long winding post - i've never posted on a messageboard before and i'd really appreciate your thoughts.

Hi Lisa, I too have exactly the same problem but on a smaller scale to yours, being self employed etc. Do I take it that you have now 'ditched' the company, were you a limited company, and does your partner know the whole truth about the debts? - unlike mine who I finally confessed to on Saturday night, and I'm still here in one piece with my hubby by my side, I can now look him in the eye without feeling as if I'd had an affair! (which I did but only with money). Although I can't give you any money advice, I can try and give you moral support and help you through, if you need it.
