Hi
Please can anybody tell me if this is correct everytime GE Money notify us of a new mortgage rate increase or decrease they charge me £20.00. They also charge me £60.00 a time on a loan that I have with them as well. I Pay both of these by DD. This is getting to be quite expensive and other people who I know have mortgages don't seem to be charged anything they just receive a letter informing them of there new monthy mortgage amount to pay.
Any information would be greatfully appreciated.

Something doesn't sound right. Have you tried calling them? All lenders are obliged to let you know before and change to your DDI payment.
Are you currently in arrears and the charges being for that reason?I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.0 -
Hi
No I am not in arrears and never have been with this company. The letter just says a charge of either £20.00 or the £60.00 has been added to your account.0 -
That sounds odd, even if it's a special circumstances lender, I would never have thought they could do that.
What does your T&C document say?Tough times never last longer than tough people.0 -
Never heard of this. Check your T&C's or ask them to send you yours.
Then write to them asking if it is legit. Send by registered post.0
