Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for years but never posted as I've always found answers I've been looking for through searching previous threads.
However, I've made the decision to finally register and make my first post as I couldn't believe what I came across while surfing the net and thought people should be aware of it.
I came across a website called backgroundchecking.com, which is part of Experian and aimed at employers who want to check out potential new employees. All well and good until you get to "Bankrupt employees or those with CCJs can leave your business vulnerable to theft, blackmail and forgery. The Basic Personal and Financial Check is the quick and easy way of verifying and making sure of the people you employ".
I don't know if I can post direct links to the page but if you go to the website and click on 'basic personal and financial checks' in the menu you'll see it.
Is it just me or am I right to be shocked by this? I'm fortunate to have not yet received a CCJ or been made bankrupt but I still found this disgraceful.

It is a bit harsh sounding - not everyone who's got a CCJ is automatically a theif!0
