    Congrats.

Why not go for a rover I got one and never ever any trouble 216sli,
and seeing as they just went belly up there stuff is as cheap as chips
get a second hand motor under 1.4ltr cheaper Tax and also if you are
gonna get a car get a cheap one as I gaurantee you will have a few
small knocks, I mean go down a lane and tress and bushes scratch the paintwork
I mean not nessacerily your fault. As soon as you get your car you
can get insured, get Fully Comp aswell, just incase you go
into the back of someone or someone hits you with no insurance.

Im not being a downer, just factual.

Congrats on passing your test :D

Have you thought about looking at Parkers reviews ? this is it CLICKY

You go to the review page and it tells you all about different cars, insurance groups of whatever car, known probs of cars, handling etc etc.

Motor auctions are a good place to buy if you have the cash and also someone who knows a bit about cars. Shop about for insurance, dont take the first quote, we always phone about 10 diff companies and take the best quote. Remember to check the excess when you get a quote, you may think you have had a great quote but the excess might be very steep.
