got mine on saturday

Sound quality is quite good, much better than the play.com 4gb mp3 player, which i bought for my mum after some suggestions from the forum

As it doesnt have a screen, a bit disappointed that it doesnt have a shuffle function

anyways not bad for a freebie

it's misleading that they show an Alba one with a screen in their advert for the free trial, yet supply an inferior one!!:mad:

Yes, totally agree - the quality is pretty disappointing, and I do feel somewhat misled. Took me ages to get mine working at all, though it seems okay now. I suppose it's no different to buying, in that we were misled and it's pretty clear that the replacement is of inferior quality.

It's just that i've already wasted too much precious time and energy on this...:rolleyes:

i emailled them yesterday asking where my mp3 player was. as my friend who had singed up at same time got hers last week.

they replied telling me i didnt qualify for the mp3 player cos i didnt enter a code!!! but the code goes in automatically when you open the page, stupid people!!!!!

I don't remember using a code - just the link giving details of the offer. As long as you used that link you should qualify, surely?

this is what i told them in my reply
just got another email back saying - no you needed to input the code so you dont qualify

am not impressed and will not be using lovefilm/cd wow again
and whats more i will telling my friends and family not to use them

dont 4 get to cxx your cards cos they may try take money, i got me mp3, rang to cxx they said will send me email conformation - nothing yet - i cxxed me card so they aint gettin a thing
