Has anyone bought currency from one of those sites where you buy well in advance and get a much better rate. We are going to America in July and if we buy our dollars now they will give us the rate of 97.50 which is very good, but its a bit worrying, does anyone know if they are safe to use.

I used crowncurrencyexchange last year to go to Florida and it worked fine, they delivered a mix of AMEX travellers cheques and US dollars by registered post, family of four going to Orlando so saved a bit.
Another way to save is buy online at travelex.co.uk and collect it at the airport, gets you a much improved rate than the walk up rate.
Have a nice holiday! If it takes a man a week to walk to walk a fortnight how long does it take a fly with tackity boots on to walk through a barrel of treacle?0
