Tax refund for non-resident who has worked on a work permit.

I am a non-resident of the UK and I have worked in the UK on a working holiday (2years) then on a work permit (1.5 years) from June 2004 to November 2007.

I know that to get a tax refund I need to fill a P85s form and send it to my employer's taxe office. The thing is, is it important to include a P45? I had already left the UK before my P45 was issued and did not receive it. It has been sent out by my ex-employer but I believe it got lost in the post.

Can I send the P85s without a P45?
Also how long does the refund take to process?

It is not necessary to send the P45 - it will take a bit longer without it (maybe several months) but you will still get whatever refund you are due.

For which year(s) should I claim a refund? On the form, apparently I can only claim for 1 tax year. Is that correct? So, would that be for the year ending 5 April 2008 or 2007?
