Hi.
I have just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant. I live at home with my parents. I am engaged and my partner also lives with his parents. We both work full time. But we are in a large amount of debt. What the hell am I going to do?
Thanks.

Firstly congratulations on your pregnancy.
In my eyes this is the perfect opportunity for you. You have a REASON to get out of debt. I started off in exactly the same boat and kept a diary for it.
Here's the link if you fancy a mooch.

Start off by putting together a statement of affairs so you can see exactly what's what. Then if you wish to post it on here so we can see what you can do then feel free. Also there are free charities out there who can offer fantastic advice such as the citizens advice bureau, CCCS and Payplan.
We're all here for advice so please don't feel afraid to ask.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hiya
Firstly - congratulations! Hope it's all going well so far and you're not suffering too badly with morning sickness.
Secondly - don't panic, there are quite a few of us on here (me included) who have continued debtbusting through pregnancy and maternity leave, so you WILL manage.
What I would do first is put together your SOA (just a list of what income you have coming in, and what you pay out each month).
Do you know what maternity pay you will get? You will be entitled to child benefit and possibly tax credits.
Thirdly - welcome to DFW"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Nic, you get very few idiots like the 'sequoiagary', so please ignore - the rest of us are lovely.
Anyone calling himself sequoia clearly has some sort of manhood-related inferiority complex!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
hello just wanted to say congratulations, i completley agree with everyone else a SOA would be a good place to start money saving and plenty of people will come up with ideas that you may not have thought of. Why not keep a spending diary and see where you are wasting money you can then control spending and put it towards you debt.
Apart from that reading the threads on here will give you loads of ideas and help you become debt free!!:jProud to be Dealing with my Debts
