Boots at Riverside, Northampton has a good little clearance section at the moment.
By front tills - lots of suncream, ROC stuff, Botanics.
At back of store - assorted kids stuff, lots of beach shoes which are going through at £2 each.
I bought 4 squeezy pouches of kids suncream - were £3.99 each, marked at £2 each. Went through as BOGOF :jNow proud Mumto3 :j0 -
Can't work out one camera from another, keep buying them and lending them out never to be seen again  lol, so I might pluck up the courage and go instore to ask AB_KWwhich one's the best.
Store employees aren't the best place to find out about electronics in any store (even in most electronics stores, unfortunately). They're usually not experts on the products and can just tell you what the item description says on the box and whether or not they sell a lot of that item. Your best bet to find something good (and user-friendly) is to do research online beforehand. Checking reviews for specific cameras you are interested in at Amazon (both .co.uk and .com, as one site may have more reviews than the other on the same item), and using review sites helps. Just find a camera that looks good at Boots, and do a search to see what people are saying about it. Here's a digital camera review site: http://www.dpreview.com/.
That's my method anyhow, as I love electronics items and want them to do what I need and to be better than my last one. My new camera goal is to get a digital one that takes pics nearly as fast as my old manual slr did without having to get the expensive and bulky digital slr. I freakin' *hate* that my camera pauses a second or two before taking a pic after I push the button. Can't get a decent action shot. They already have some better ones now than my camera (which is about four years old), but my old one takes such great pics and mpegs that I can't justify getting a new one just yet. I'll wait a year or two for the tech to rise and the prices to fall even more.
Sorry about the long post, but cameras are a love of mine.0 -

Just been down to my local and the water was 15p there as well. Also got the last TD Facial Kit from the clearance stand priced at £3.74 and the £5 till split worked on it. The SA said there was more there this morning.0
