Hello I know I have asked this before but I have one of the free olay wipes thing and the 600 points and it says on the voucher wyb olay total effects moisturiser. I know people have been buying the hand cream which one is it, how much is it? Also when the voucher clearly states total effects moisturier how do you get away with buying the hand cream? What do the sa's say? Thanks you x

Hiya, it works on the £4.97 Olay TE hand cream, you will get the points and the free wipes/toner etc. The only reason for these not working is if the SA doesnt even try them as they scan together no problem at all..

All you can do is hope the SA doesnt read the fine print on them (not to be used in conjuction with/one per transaction etc...) If they query that it has to be a moisturiser, i would just politely ask them to try it on the hand cream, and as we know,...it'll work a treat ;)

The last time I got an olay hand treatment, I used a 500pt, 600pt and £5 off, then free wipes too! Manager had to over ride the till for the SA and he just did it, winked and went off with me blushing :rotfl:

If however you think you are not feeling foolish enough to chance all of the blushing, then 'hide' it in your basket with some essentials you ned at the moment to make it up to £5 required for a till spit, then just hand over the vouchers right at the end.

If ever I feel concerned about getting away with a glitch, I just plead ignorance if the till says no! Just say something like 'oh I picked up the wrong one! In a bit of a hurry now, can I have the vouchers back and I'll get the right one next time?' or just say when you hand over any vouchers 'can you try these please?' then if they do not work and the SA gets funny, you can say that you thought they may not etc.

I can no longer plead ignorance in my local, they are wise to me!

Sorry to waffle, I know you asked a direct question, but thought extra info may help newbies :)

The only one I have found does not scan on the £4.97 cream, but does on the £6.75 is the £5 off olay. Which is why SA has to over ride, although most do to be honest!

I also did this beautiful vouchers combo successfully a few times too broclo :p, but only beeped once, and its the pesky 500 point voucher that i did it...!
I know why too. The 500 points on Olay TE vouchers HAS to end in 73, The one ending in 76 will beep everytime  Strange but true...

Was it the 76 ending 500 point one? My others scanned no probs on the £4.97 one (thats all 4 voucher combos too), as long as it ends 73, it works on the lower priced hand cream.

Never had any problems with 500pt ones, think one of them had to be over ridden once, but not sure on barcode...could hardly ask for it back for a minute so I could check lol

It was the £5 off olay that did not work on £4.97 and needed to be over ridden by the manager. I'd tried it the week before and it did not work, but SA was really busy so told her not to worry about getting someone to over ride. It was one that ended 31/05, that is all I can remember, sorry!

lol must have used a 73 then, would not have got away with manager adding that aswell, luckily the SA had dealt with my heap of vouchers already!

It was a terrible shop for the manager to see to be honest! I had a basket full of quite dodgy voucher combo's, I remember it well! I got about £50 worth of stuff for about £12 and got 1800 pts lol. SA was a gem as she had put 6 till spits through aswell, goodness knows how she did!
