Hi,
I am thinking of buying a new pan set. What is the best material for the pans to be made of ? We have an electric hob and I cannot have iron making contact with my food.
Cheers

Good question, wondered that myself.
I love raw cast iron and use it when cooking my sons food as he is veggie. You can always get coated iron. I use cast iron for most of my cooking, especially frying, it cant be beaten.
I also have a set of stainless steel but nowadays I mainly use the cast iron or my steamer.0 -
I will look into the steel thing. Got to make sure the iron is locked in.
My body does not know when to stop taking iron stores and I have to give blood every few months to keep it down.
EDIT: Thanks for pointing out the stainless steel thing. It does release iron into food. Better get coated pans I think.0
