Ordered the steam iron a few days ago, many thanks to the OP.
  • I have just bought a Swan steam generator iron from Kays.com and am really dissapointed.
It takes for ever to heat up and when it does it only steams when you keep the button on top of the iron pressed down. Is this how they all work?
I was expecting it to steam all the time.
Don't know whether to send it back and order one of these or not. What do you think?

I don't know about the taking ages to heat up, it depends what you call forever.
But it's the norm for the steam to come out just when you press the button
Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

My iron is like this but, I think the steam must be coming out all the time as the water level goes down quickly. Perhaps it comes out but we don't notice it???

Having now received both my hairdryer and the steam generator iron, I am so chuffed with both. I actually enjoyed doing my 3 baskets of ironing today! If anyone is unsure about ordering anything, I can certainly vouch for both products that I ordered. Am so impressed with both, and the delivery was so fast too! Thank you so much OP

I've just ordered the steam generator so I can tackle the two baskets that are full from last summer :o

Steam generator iron just arrived today, so I'll test it out tonight and report back, but very quick service considering I ordered over a bank holiday weekend.
