Ash - not unless you've done all your chores like me (Not!!!):rotfl:

Tia - yes, especially when I go out with the dogs first thing. I look a right wally with streaming eyes! They say you should keep windows shut, but I don't, even in winter, as I start having probs with asthma then!

    Nicki - OMG:eek:

Sharon - how did things go at school? How's DD now?

off to make lunch. DD's just got out of bed, under protest, but if he doesn't, he'll not sleep tonight.

Ok feeling sick now. My OH and I go through at least a bottle of diet coke a day. Please tell me the 'diet' part makes all of the above not true...

Nope.. we would by lying.. most of the nasties are in the actual flavoured syrup.. the one in the tankers marked hazardous.. they just add extra disgusting sugar substitutes into the diet one instead of some of the proper sugar!!

CC can also dissolve a human tooth in 2 days!!!

Great isn't it.. now you know why I don't drink it and I won't let the children have it!!

    Off to paint..

Can I have 'pigpen will learn to budget better' vibes instead please .. ???

I KNOW on paper we get more than enough money to live on I am just so crap at budgetting and we have so many 'surprises' each month.. like.. £42 for DS1's prom.. £170 for DD2's school uniform.. has to be in by the 19th May!.. £80 for 3 pairs of shoes (I daren't even take DD2) I should be prepared for this!!

*SSL shimmies into pigpen's house sprinkling budgetting dust*
*pigpen WILL learn to budget better*
*pigpen WILL learn to budget better*
*pigpen WILL learn to budget better*

Do you do the 'piggy backing' technique that Martin talks about? I'm still talking about budgetting, missus. Do you have money coming in weekly, 4 weekly and monthly? Thats what used to mess my budgeting up. I keep separate on line accounts for birthdays, christmas, holidays etc. Could you have a children's clothing/shoeing account and maybe put your earnings from ebay in there? Hmmm  I'll sort you out when I come back from my holidays.

Look at the time, 1.15 and not a pot washed. Time for me to nip into Liverpool and buy some new knickers.

Hope everyone's well and I'll catch up with the thread soon xx
  • I am getting somewhere!!! - well at least it feels like I am :rotfl:

I have ironed all the bedding
Paid council tax and found a DD form
    Folded and reloaded TD
    Put DW on
    Emptied DW
    Swept kitchen floor

Off to sort out all the outgrown stuff that is sitting in heaps in our bedroom (and has been for some time :o )

Filling my 5th rag bag eco comittee are going to love me :D :rotfl:

arrrgh bloomin' chainsaws starting again - it is the wrong time of year to be doing this the poor birds have built their nests in all her shrubs (next door) DH had a hairy fit when I told him what the noise was! lmao all the brids are coming through to our garden and using all the feeders though :D

It makes it MUCH, MUCH WORSE:eek::eek::eek::eek::D

All those nasty artificial "sweeteners" (which always taste bitter I think). I won't let my children have anything with sweeteners in and have told them how bad they are for them. My DD1 told me that a friend of hers had a "Coke Zero" yesterday and was telling my DD how good it was for her because it had nothing in it. So my daughter put her straight on that one :rotfl:It's good to know that they listen to something I say anyway. :rotfl::rotfl:

I do that. Some days I get no offers with points, and other days I get one! It's taking me months to get even a £10 voucher! I'm on 883 points atm - and no free points today again

chasingbutterflies - it is actually an offence to disturb nesting birds... perhaps you could tell your neghbour - or is it one of those neighbours from hell? You could always ring the RSPCA!

Gardening work rained off today, so have been flying most of the morning.

Level 3 cloakroom and bathroom, about Level 2 in the livingroom and hall, couldn't be bothered to do the stairs, so will delegate that to the children when they come home - all the stuff is theirs anyway. Level 3 in main bedroom, vacuumed visible floor in the children's bedrooms, after picking up all DD's belongings...and four or five lots of washing. OH working at home today, and rather wishing he wasn't...

I reckon that deserves a small dog biscuit!!

DD has done her French oral exam this morning, after hours of practice with me, and she rang to say that her teacher told her that although nerves got the better of her (pity, as she's really very good) she's probably done enough to get an A!!! Very very happy for her.

I'm off to the garden centre to buy some rockery pinks for my Dad's birthday. And maybe a little treat for me. I'd like to garden, but it keeps raining. Yesterday when I took DS2 and friend up to the police station (Duke of Edinburgh course, they're not in trouble!) there was the most beautiful double rainbow.

sharon_1970 - absolutely the right thing to do. And very big hugs to your DD. Book her into self defence classes.

chunky 79 - hope you feel better very soon.

michelle - sending you nice gentle labour vibes!!

tbh It would be easier to say something if she was... she is an older lady who keeps herself to herself but says hello. She has just been out to tell the big blokes with the chainsaws to take it easy - and to leave a couple of shrubs alone

If she wanted to be nasty all she would need to do would be to stick some bleach down her loo or use bio powder - we share a septic tank! - sorry if tmi :rotfl:

Ok - not that I'm being thick or anything but, do soappie and Dusty live near each other??? Just wanted to clear that up for myself. So confused.

No Ash we don't. I take part in  ORF:cool: . Soappie has a camera which shows her driveway and the street. Somebody was parking on her drive so she has a team of us flyladies watching her house whilst she is at work :rotfl: How sad are we - I love it - a guy just parked outside and got our of his van.

Right I have done an online food shop for Saturday night (it was free delivery and we will be here). Will still need to get a few bits before then.
