CCA - Where do I start?

Hello, new to this site and need a bit of help please. I was approached by a company willing to act for my husband to get rid of his barclaycard as the agreement was signed before Sept 2007 and deemed unenforceable. They were going to charge £495 quid so thought we would approach it ourselves. Just printed off first letter requesting CCA ready to post tomorrow. What now, just sit and wait for their reply, and if they don't reply how do I find out what to do next. In 6 years the credit card has gone down £500 thats it, we are so determined to get rid of this. I also would like to know if i should still proceed with the request for reclaiming thecharges etc that they have charged us over the years or just wait to see what happens with the CCA. Sorry about all the questions, not sure what i should be doing first.

Thank you:confused:
