So there is a new rate now 18 % on profit no matter how long shares held for.
My question is if you have bought shares in the same company at different times, what happens when you sell some. Is it last in first out, are they 'pooled' or ......any other permutation.
Help much appreciated

So the old rules still apply then
Many thanks0 -
No the old rules of share matching do not apply.
I have not looked at the new rules in to much depth as I have to much to do in 2007/08 first so I may not be 100%.
As I have read it, all shares are now pooled so you divide the total cost by the total number of shares to get you base cost per share.0 -
