Are you thinking of the Co-op demutualising?
Numbers on their own probably don't gain you anything but do you actually have any funds with them?
Do you actually buy anything in the Co-op?0 -

I don't know but you have to decide which is worse.
Hanging onto them then finding they are worthless or binning them and later finding they were worth something.
I would keep them until I was certain they were worthless.
My mother dies in the early 80's, but I still know her divi number. I was borne in the late 50's when it was safe, and normal to send small children to the shop for your shopping, and had that number drummed into so many times I couldn't forget it if I wanted to!0 -

I wrote to the membership office with my Mum's number (I have PoA now that she's in a care home) and they paid her £13 divi that was in the account.
So don't chuck the books away, write to the Co-op first:-
