Thanks to all who listened and replied. Funny how some things suddenly seem extremely trivial in the sober light of day huh?

Canoeing went really well. Capsized twice and found that lakes taste like duck poo...wonder why that is?
Knackered now, can barely type.

Good, hope things carry on like that. But you needed to get it off your chest, and this is the best place for it, and no harm is done when you get a variety of opinions.
The lakes do taste fairly awful don't they? Not that I drink an awful lot of it !Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Because I was wearing a wetsuit, I've got a sunburnt face that ends in a perfect line halfway down my neck.
Also have sunburnt hands that likewise end in a perfect line at my wrists.
I look odd. But then I do anyway.0 -
I've spent about ten minutes trying to remember what your avatar is....
It's Bob, isn't it...0 -
Hmm, i used to get sunburned feet in a perfect imitation of my sandals.
sunshine, a rare commodity, you must take a picture for prosperity.
Talking of looking odd, I hate that vaseline advert where they are rubbing it in all over themselves...far to close an personal, the human body is odd in bits (too much info eh? will run away now!)Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Ahh. know another famous person who likes that as well:o
Must have been very useful when getting your wetsuit off. Aloe vera is good for sunburn by the way! should be cheap in the shops as not much use at moment. should also wear sunglasses for glare:rotfl: :rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I didn't see the thread last night but I have just had a look and if it's any help I know what you mean about doing little things to save money...For example...we were coming back from holiday when we got talking to someone about the cost of airport parking....I paid under £11 for week plus Quidco cashback, they paid over £40 and thought it was a good deal. I can afford to pay £40 but I get a kick out of getting the same thing for £11 (or less) if you go through the right moneysaving channels it's no harder than booking the expensive place online.
Fortunately my OH is similar to me, we like nice things but we like to get a bargain and always shop around for the best deal. However if he said he was taking over the shopping to get a couple of quid cashback I might take it as a personal slight. He also has a habit of saying we will do this whereas I would say shall we do this...
Glad the canoeing went well, I love Hollingworth Lake. we were up there a few weeks ago taking pictures of people falling in the water LOL.0 -

Now then GP, glad you had a good one.
Didn't take the advice about forcing her to listen while in the middle of a lake in a canoe?
Glad your feeling a little more mellow:cool:LBM - 30/07/09
