taking my debt to australia??

hi,

I along with my family are thinking of moving to australia and i would like a question answered if possible?

can i transfer my credit cards along with their balance (debt) with me or do i have to pay them off before i move? :confused:

And before you all start sharpening your knives... no i am not running away from my debts i want to pay them as i am now but want to know if i can transfer them with me? :rotfl:

    I don't know very much about it to be honest, I do know that when my brother emigrated nearly 2 years ago he had UK visa cards with balances and he has continued to pay them from abroad. He was living at my parents so the bills continued to arrive at their address so as far as I'm aware the banks didn't know he'd gone.

    sounds like i can take them with me then? wouls be great if i could as it means more money to save for the move! :D fingers crossed!
