Hi all,
We've just bought a satin finish sink - it's a bit like brushed steel. What should I use to clean it and how do I stop the watermarks showing up?
Thanks

I use stardrops solution on mine, take the water off with a microfibre cloth and buff it with a soft cloth and some baby oil if I want it to sparkle (not very often, the sink gets too much use for that!)"All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.
I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.0 -
We are having a new kitchen and the company have recommended for our sink a product called Barmans Friend. I have no idea what it is, but will research it when the kitchen is installed. To Dare is To Do:beer:0

Is this the stuff - Barkeeper's Friend? It's very good for cleaning most surfaces, and it's cheap(ish) too. I think that Waitrose and Tesco sell it too.0

You can buff it with a dry cloth and baby oil. I do this to my SS sink and it comes up all new again.

I use a paste of bicarb and washing up liquid - takes the water marks off with no problem.

I use the barkeepers friend - was given it by the guys who installed the kitchen worktops. I have recently seen it in stock in AsdaNever let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

There is a product you can buy called LimeLite (on sale at most supermarkets) which is great for removing the watermarks on stainless steel. You spray it on and wipe off with a damp cloth, followed by a quick buff with a dry cloth. Leaves it sparkling. This can also be used on tiles etc.0
