what was your gross pay
is this the first pay for this tax year
are you paid monthly
what is your tax code0 -
Do you just work in the holiday period if not you will be on normal coding and will have to pay same as everyone else currently the normal code is 543L0

Either that's on a gross of circa £650 .... or your Code is a bit lower than 543?
Either way - yes you pay tax / NI on what to the PAYE system looks like an annual gross (12 x £650) of £7800. If you reduce to the more normal £300+ over the next few months then the system will recalculate .... and the tax you have paid will refund to you automatically. But not the NI .... which doesn't work cumulatively. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
