Hi, i am looking to sell my house.
My brother in law is interested in purchasing my house, however he lives in South Africa. He has at least 40% deposit of the house price avaiable in a UK Bank account. What are the option for him to prurchase the property, which he intends to rent out.
I was thinking i could apply for the mortgage in joint names? Any ideas welcome.
Thanks

He should have plenty options available for a BTL mortgage with that kind of deposit available.
I would suggest contacting a broker who deals with these circusmtances a lot in order to make this process as easy as possible and to avoid wasting time contacting lenders who will not agree the mortgage for himI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
