A Monkey's Attempts At Keeping On The Wagon

Hello to all you lovely DFW's. I hope nobody minds but I thought I'd start myself a diary to hopefully help keep my mind on the job of debt-busting!
I've been lurking around this site for quite a few months now, and have learned loads of things and tried to put some of it into practice, but I keep having short bursts of being really good, then sort of losing energy and drifting back into not bothering again. So I thought maybe having myself a diary would help me to stay focussed. I'm not struggling with making minimum repayments (at the moment), but I need to stop kind of kidding myself that I'm trying hard to pay off my debts when really I could be trying much harder. So anyway, now I've rambled on, I will go back to trying to put together a proper SOA which I finally got round to starting to put into a spreadsheet this morning (I'm usually an everything on little scraps of paper kinda girl!). I need to be more organised and motivated and I seriously think I need a kick up the butt to stop loafing around. I have all good intentions, but my efforts can sometimes tend to be a bit half-arsed and this must stop now!

he he, thanks, it's good to know I'm not the only one! I will be more organised from now on though. I'm already way better than I was about a year and a half ago, when I was missing payments all over the place 'cos I would put the bill in a safe place and then forget all about it! All my credit card bills are now direct debit, but I want to change them to standing orders so that I can pay a set amount each month. It's on my 'to do' list, which is currently a list about as long as both my arms
