I saw a thread about a free Football manager game on the interent a few weeks ago. I didnt want to step on anyones toes so I let things die down but of all the games mentioned I have tried them all in recent years and the best in my opinion is
http://www.footiemanager.com/
It is free to play, and games are played twice a week - Wednesday and Saturday evening.
There are three types of games
Lite - which lasts for a season to give you a taster of choosing a side and going to bed [games are played at night] wondering how your new midfielder is getting on.
Standard - an ongoing game similar to the lite version.
Premier [which costs £12.50 for a season, which lasts for 5 months ish], which has lots of all singing and dancing options.
In each type of game there are a number of self contained worlds which play along similar lines to real life. I much preferred being manager of a real team ie Torquay utd than making a name up and being in league 256 of world 7.
thought you might want to give it a whirl.:j Apolgies if this thread looks rubbish I am still learning:o and cant possbily do screenshots etc.
