Cheapest Sky package which includes football?

Anyone know which is the cheapest Sky package that would include 'most' of the live football games.

I believe (might be wrong) that most of the live games are on Sky Sports One. Is it possible to get that station without having to have the full sports package?

All advice appreciated

That's what I thought but I was talking to someone the other day who reckoned he had got a package which just included Sky Sports One and was a lot less that £30/month.

I should have asked him what the package was but didn't. I checked the Sky web site but couldn't see anything like that.

Maybe he was just making it up?

Just signed upto sky for the footie myself

I got the first 3 months subscription for £16.50 then it goes back upto full price of £33 but there has just been an increase of Sky subscriptions so the sports package has gone upto £36 from the start of September. Also purchased the prem+ season ticket for £50 for an extra 50 games which is well worth it as otherwise you pay £7 a game and if you dont subscribe to the sports chanels the prem+ games are £14 each which is a rip off

I think it's £36 a month for the sports package from this month.

The least you can get away with is £34 a month.

That is 2 entertainment mixes and the sports package.

Have a look at https://www.sky.com/ordersky/channelpackages for details.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Majority of football tends to be Sky Sports 1 though so technically £28 for 2 mix + 1 premium should cover most footy, but best to check schedules in case they start swicthing games to SS2
  • Bear in mind that Sky often put England Internationals on Sky Sports 2 & La Liga on Sky Sports Extra.

Think SS3 and Xtra are automatically added if you take either(or both SS1 and SS2). So technically you may end up losing out on England Internationals (which on paper looks a bonus at the moment). As I said, probably worth checking the Sky schedules to see what games are on which channels, could always add the SS2 element in for certain months and remove it when not needed to save the £6pm

Edit: This link actually shows a lot of the future coverage http://skysports.planetfootball.com/list.asp?hlid=217652

Majority is SS1, mostly the Championship is on SS2(infinitely a better league so stick with SS2 instead......)

SS1 IS FAR BETTER, CHAMPIONSHIP IS OK, BUT HIGHLIGHTS COEM ON ONE
also england internationals are n ss2 which means ss1 is better as england is boring to watch, as soon as becks is off the team then ill get ss2

cheapest package i foudn just for ss1 is 34, am i right or wrong?
