All I wanted was my settlement figure!!

Hi All,

Grrrr...I'm so angry!
Am currently off work with what's thought to be a stress-related illness - GP doesn't know the full picture until my bloods come back on Monday.

I contacted Beneficial Finance today to ask them for a settlement figure on my loan as I'm going for a financial review with my bank tomorrow, and generally want to know where I stand with everything. I was told someone would call me back. 10 minutes ago, I received a call from someone there who after asking me why I wanted a settlement figure, could they not help me blah di blah...proceeded to inform me they would have to write out to me with the settlement figure.:mad:

This person then proceeded to ask me about my living arrangements seeing as I recently changed my address, who exactly I work for (which I informed them AGAIN I can't disclose) and what all my outgoings are each month. I then said to this person that all I wanted was my settlement figure and hung up.

To top it all, I've received a final gas bill from Scottish Power (hiss!!) advising me that somehow I owe them £25 - bit strange to fathom really seeing as I was on a prepayment card meter with them until British Gas took over and switched my meter back to a normal one on the 14th April AND it was kept constantly in credit due to my partner's disability meaning he needs to be kept warm constantly. I've contacted them to ask how they magically decided I owe them money only to have someone from their "investigations department" call me and accuse me of having the WRONG date of birth - to which I advised I think I know what my date of birth is and even have the certificate to prove it therefore THEIR records are wrong!:eek:

The guy continously spoke over me and when I said "stop talking over me and answer my simple question" he said "there's no need for the attitude"!:mad:

I am SOOOOOOO angry!
Not doing my health any good!

On a good note I managed to book me and OH a trip to Legoland in Windsor at the end of May. For hotel and entry into the park - £70 WITH cashback!! Shopped around and got the tickets for £17.50 and the room £30 instead of £75!!
