Hi there.
Thanks for the heads up on this - I have registered and downloaded my first free tune. Not feeling 100% carrying on though as when I went to download the next one it made perfectly clear I was going to be paying £1.25 for it. Is there anywhere on the cliq site I can find which tells me this isn't the case? I had to provide my credit card details to register and am not confident I won't get changed for downloading today.
Thanks,

Okay - I think I've worked it out. The part which you use on your mobile phone still tells you you will need to pay, but the online bit with your credit card details won't actually be billed. Bit confusing to start with, but I've found an official statement which says that downloads will definately be free - http://www.cliqradio.co.uk/welcome/free_music_daybr5th_maybr.html.
Sorry for ever doubting you - now, to get downloading!
PS It does screw up my phone each time, saying "you don't have enough credit" when I 'purchase' a song, which is a bit of a pain (but not one I can't handle for free tunes)!
Thanks :rolleyes:0 -
Well, I get free texts and free web access or whatever it is called from my phone at the moment, so I'm guessing this is pretty much free for me.
I'm somewhat of a music person (any genre, any time, just gimme music) so this appeals just a little bit!
Guess I got too excited though - just been banned. Ooops! Well, 'supsended until the promotion is over' at any rate. They let me have 50 free tracks though, so still a pretty fine deal I think. But just so you know fellow music-heads.... it isn't as unlimited as it first seemed...be selective and don't waste your 50!0 -
Thanks for letting us know about this. I've downloaded alot, so will probably be banned soon too.
I've had one text telling me to slow down!May - £251.63/£155, June - £108.69/£150, July - £157.45/£155, Aug - £104.28/£155
Sept - £110.80/£150, Make £5 a day in Oct challenge = £50.50/£1550 -
Thank you so much! I was careful about what I picked throughout the day and have managed to get a good mix of songs. Downloaded easily (some as WMA and some as MP3 files) and am listening back to them now. I like the Cliq service, very clever and easy to use, I just hope the price drops soon!0
