Plastic thread for kids' beads

The bead kit only came with enough plastic thread for 4 necklaces and my children have hundreds of beads left and nothing to thread them on to. I could also do with some plastic clasps.

I've searched on the net but in vain - perhaps I am not using the right search terms?

I suppose you have tried ebay? I got some off there last summer. Might be worth looking in ebay shops of anyone selling beads as I bought beads and the thread from same person.HTHJoan

If its just clear nylon line then a trip to the fishing tackle shop may be in order.
Or perhaps the local picture framing shop, they sometimes use strong nylon line.

I went to the fishing shop for the clear nylon thread - worked out cheaper than the bead and craft shops and you get a huge roll so you can snip and re-do your necklaces as much as you like ;)

You can also get a clear stretchy elastic thread (think I got that from ebay) - but watch the thicknesses as the stretchy stuff is harder to get through the beads if its a bit thick ;)

The Bead Shop in Brighton does mail order and sells clasps and threads too (but I found some bits were cheaper on ebay).
