Which Scalextric?

I'm planning to buy my boyfriend a Scalextric for his 32nd birthday next week and I wondered if anyone can advise which one to get.

He's into F1 (likes McLaren but not Ferrari - I think!) and touring cars, also watches Top Gear a lot. I'm considering either a top of the range Scalextric Digital World Championships set (a bit more than I'd planned to spend but cheaper on Amazon), the Top Gear Powerlaps or a different (not digital) F1 set.

Is it a good idea to get digital or not? Will it mean there will be fewer choices of track and cars for him to add to it later?
I'd also be really grateful for any suggestions. Ideally I'd like to spend under £200 but I'd go a bit over this if it's going to be worth it.

Many thanks!
