from a mag it says brita cartridges can now be recyled at selected Argos and Tescos stores if they are main dealers for Brita call 0870 487 1000 for details.

Would like to know this too as I have a load of old Kenwood ones. I think they are the same size as the original brita ones, did consider just sending them to brita or dropping them off at Argos. Couldn't find any recycling info on the Kenwood site last time I looked.0
