FREE Thorntons chocolates?

I think somebody somewhere along the line may have posted this...but I would like to share my experience...just in case.

A couple of days ago I came home to find a bundle of bags and survey forms pushed through the letter box (five in all). It's one of those long winded consumer ones that they once sent with a free pen etc.

This one had a sweet type bag with Thorntons on and a red return bag...saying simply fill in the survey and a bag of continental chocolates will be left in return.....yea I thought fat chance of that!

Not interested neither was my housemates shared accomadation so I put them all in one of the red poly bags so that they could reuse.....rain was forecast.

I came home to find 5 bags of Thorntons sweets/truffles etc..they must have thought all the forms had been filled OR was rewarding for the careful recycling..I really dont no which.

The point is if you get one on your doorstep they really do leave the chocolates I am in to my 2nd bag:D ...and used a couple as prezzies....:rotfl: :rotfl:
The years starts today ....

Was this from My Interests Survey? If so there’s a thread here. Some people look like they received the chocolates but others unfortunately didn’t.

We had one through the door last night. Did minimum of questions and made sure if anyone does take it, the only information on it is stuff anyone could access anyway. No bank account details or stuff like insurance renewal dates.

  • This was on watchdog last week, it is a legal survey run by TNT, however if you fill all of the details in and then leave it on your doorstep you are opening yourselves up to identity theft and fraud.

As nice as free chocolate is, is it really worth risking losing your identity for ?

I dont understand why they couldnt have provided a free post envelope then mail out the chocolates upon receipt of each survey.

The only thing you have to put down is a name and address. email optional if you answer yes to certain questions. You can answer as little (or nothing) as you like. Like lilykim said we only answered questions with answers available elsewhere. So a copy of the electoral register will get you the same amount of information anyway.

I've seen internet forms after tons more info. Got chocolates too :)
