desperate for help

today i received a county court summons as as part of my debts i owe £7k on a credit card to lloyds tsb,i paid as much as i could until my wifes illness left us with little to pay,i explained that i already had a charging order agst me and the judge said lloyds tsb had ignored the courts invitation to challenge it and thus apparently had lost the right to further attempts,now they want money i havent got,no equity in the house at all so whats the worst that can happen? can someone please contact as this isnt all i owe and i cant see any future

    You could go back to court with the proof that they dont have the right to further attempts and see how it goes. Sorry Im not up on courts and charging orders, but Im sure someone will be along shortly that can help :)

    Providing you fill in the defense pack, which would include listing everything else you owe, and make an offer of payment that you can afford, even if the offer you make is as low as a £1 the judge should rule that that is all you can afford.

    If that happens the judgment will be made payable in installments, miss the installment they can move onto enforcing the debt.

    What else do you owe, what for, and what was the charging order for?
    Could you post a SOA?

    Does any of the 7k consist of penalty charges? If so, fill in the counterclaim section.

    I'm assuming you've received a claim form on this debt.
