Shocked with the price of a pomegranate

Went to my local Co-op today to see the price of a single pomegranate at £0.75p each. And a jaffa orange at £0.30p each  . Does this sound about right?
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

Sounds about right to me;)0

It's the end of the season here in Spain for oranges, the blossom is just on the trees now for the crop later this year
Our pomegranates aren't ready yet0 -
ASDA oranges = 26p each. Can't afford a pomegranate. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

Pomegranates are more like 95p at Tesco - yet in Greece I've seen them rotting on the ground. I think it's too expensive to pay people to pick them - yet someone must be making a profit at those prices.0

My daughter wanted one the other week in Tesco's, I was shocked to find they were 90 odd pence!£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0

They're two for £1 at the Greek supermarket across the road from me ... I think they're the kind of thing that's cheaper from ethnic shops, rather than supermarkets where they're selling for silly prices since they got trendy - I think the Greeks discovered them before Nigella did lol!0

We paid 25p-30p for them when I was a kid, which was a few years ago now (I'm coming up 30) I remember because I used to buy them with my pocket money instead of sweets. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Going off the topic of pomegranate but I paid 28p for one lemon in Tescos yesterday. I was shocked at that price, I'm sure they were only 16p a little while ago?0

Thanks
I was a bit bemused on an OS forum.
These things are not native to our country, and if they're not in season to boot, then they're going to be more expensive?0
