in Cutting tax
I received my salary today and am disappointed with my net pay. I work
part time and so does my husband and both of us have suffered a dip in
our salaries this month. What I cannot understand is when Gordon Brown states that people like us will be compensated by the increase in Child Tax Credit. In our case we still get the basic Tax Credit which is the Family element only as both our incomes are taken together to work this out and we have just missed out on the child element of the Tax Credit. So no increase whatsover just a big loss when it is worked out anually which I think is very unfair.
