Thank you Bailiffchaser for providing this.

Within the past few days our office have seen a number of these letter and I am very concerned indeed with the ones that we have seen and each would appear to have been sent by 2ND CLASS POST. To my mind this is dreadful and the letter clearly states that the debt must be paid IN FULL within 7 days.

Two such letters that have been copied to our office this morning were received by clients in today's post and are dated Wednesday this week . We have also be sent both envelopes as proof of 2nd class Postage.

I will be taking this up with HMCS as a matter of urgency, in particular that with the awful credit situation that we are now finding it would be difficult , if not impossible for people receiving these letters to find the money within just 2 maybe 3 days.
  • I think these letters are now starting to become more common.

  • Are you qualified to deal with this? I would suggest you refer your clients to the proper authorities.
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:

Who are you asking the question ?

This TV licence thing is getting really scary - have you seen the ad they're running now about it? It is Orwellian. Big brother has arrived. Still, you should pay your TV licence nonetheless.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.
  • Who are you asking the question ?

It is what you say in your signature:confused: If you don't know the answer, which you don't seem to...... then consult a professional.:p
    It's what i would do, if i didn't know..common sense i would have thought..you should use some:D

Definately a touch of the Big Brother about it, i agree. That is obviously the intention of the adverts, goodness knows how much of the licence payers money they have spent on it!
