2nd CCCS Interview Done.

Hi All,

Done my second CCCS interview this afternoon, Went through all my incomings and outgoings and i'd have a whooping £20 per month to service my debts after the basics are covered, which would take me 160 years, yes thats right 160 years to pay my creditors back.

Only 1 of my outgoings for day to day living was over the limit, that was my television by £4, not that it would make much difference to my creditors so could be taken from my emergency funds if needed.

Just the house situation to sort now, which the advisor from CCCS is going to clarify for me either today or tomorrow with regards to leaving it for the OR to give back to the bank or I have to dispose of it before going BR - advisor spoke to someone who said it shouldn't be a problem but she was going to phone the offical recievers office for clarification.

I've got all my new letters that have come in since deciding BR was the best option, Or should I say the girlfriend has been putting things in folders for easy access.

Another step towards freedom!! Since cancelling all direct debits the mobile and landline have been going bonkers with HSBC and Aqua calling upto 15 times a day!

I cannot speak highly enough of the CCCS :)

    Hi WorldofDebt,

160 years!!! what a sobering thought! I was told only 63 yrs...well I may live to 107... but with all the stress at the moment I may not even make it to next Christmas!

Well done on getting your debt together & looking for a solution..you sound very organised.

I had my 2nd CCCS cancelled by them due to staff shortage & the waiting time is 2 weeks! Just shows how many cases they must be dealing with. I agree they are very good.

160 years! Yikes! Well done for facing up to your situation. It's really hard but you've taken the first step.
Good luck - you'll get lots of support here.

CCCS are very good. I've only been with them a short while and they have helped me enormously despite the fact I rant and cry on the phone to them all the time!! Am surprised they still speak to me. They are busy so I end up blubbing into their recorded messages whilst I'm waiting to speaking to an advisor.

    Crumbs! I was 30 years!!
CCCS were great for me- they were so calm- even though I was having a total meltdown. I rang the bankruptcy service about a million times and asked the same question over and over- and they never once got impatient with me.
  • Well I woke up this morning to a voicemail message from the CCCS, They spoke to their OR who confirmed that I don't need to dispose of the house they will deal with that and the shortfall, Just need to inform the ex-wife now that the bank will be coming for the house soon.

I was fairly lucky, Made sure that HR had put my wage in my girlfriends bank account - Called on monday to make a second appointment due to circumstances changing - no longer living on sofa's! advisor said It could be a while before I got one but was shocked when one turned up for thursday this week.

Girlfriend is supporting me through everything and with the knowledge on here I no longer fear doing this.

Thanks all! Just gotta get my printer sorted and print out my bank statements.
