With any tricky thread it is good practise to rotate backwards slowly using very gentle pressure untill it drops in or clicks, you have then found the beginning of the thread and it should screw in easily without cross threading

Hi
I have the same problem with an Adidas waterproof watch. I was quoted £35 at jewellers as well.
Go here and they will change any battery of any make and guarantee waterproofing for £18

Why would you want to shower with a watch on?
£35 for a watch sounds a lot to me, for a £1 battery fitting, it is ridiculous.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
Think yourself lucky I have a Tag and every 18 months it goes back to the jewellers for a battery and service which costs a small fortune. And, its away for 6-8 weeks. No I don't use it for diving, it was a wedding present so have to keep it going.
Same story here, but I gave up sending it back for up to a month and spending a small fortune. I bought a proper watch back removal tool of eBay and the Batteries are around £2 each from 7 Day Shop and I do it myself.
Bought my TAG from Bahrain on the way back from Honeymoon back in 97 saving nearly 50% on RRP did the jewellers for the first battery, then a service. But have done it myself ever since, saved a small fortune and always had the watch with me. Mine is a 200m Waterproof one and I use it everyday even go swimming in it with no problems to date.Cheers
