RULES OF ENTRY FOR EXHILARATION 'THE SKY'S THE LIMIT' COMPETITION: 24 APRIL - 16 MAY, 2008.

1. Promotion open to UK, Isle of Man and Channel Island residents, aged 18 years or over excluding employees of BSkyB Limited, Sky Interactive Limited and their associated companies, families, agents or anyone involved in the administration of the Promotion.

2.To take part in the Promotion you need to send an email with requested details to tvguidecompetitions@bskyb.com.

3.Enter by email to tvguidecompetitions@bskyb.com. One entry per person only. Each eligible entry will be entered into a prize draw. Closing date for entries is 12noon on Friday 16 May, 2008.

4. Entries must not be sent in through agents or third parties. No responsibility will be accepted for entries which are delayed in the post. Late, damaged, defaced or illegible entries will be disqualified.

5. On Monday 19 May an independent person will draw a first prize winner. The winner will be notified by email by Tuesday 20th May 2008.

6. The first prize winner will receive the following prize: A tandem skydive. Location – Devon, Kent, Lancashire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Perthshire. Selected dates throughout the year – Recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher.
This is only a guideline and we advise you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. You must book and take your experience before the expiry date.
Your instructor will give you a thorough briefing on all aspects of your skydive including how to leave the aircraft, how to position yourself in freefall and how to steer the parachute to your landing point.
Then it’s the real thing! The aircraft will normally take around 15 minutes to climb to an altitude of between 10,000 and 12,000 feet. Your instructor will then guide you towards the door for the experience of a lifetime.
The sensation of freefalling for approximately 30 seconds is absolutely unbelievable before your instructor opens the parachute and you land safely back at the drop zone.

7. No cash alternative to the prizes (or any part of them), prizes are non-transferable and the Promoter reserves the right to substitute all or part of any prize for one of equivalent or greater value if necessary for reasons beyond its control.

8. Prize(s) subject to availability at the time of booking.

9. Your voucher is valid for nine months from the date of issue. Personal and cancellation insurance are included. Kindly note that each centre has their own cancellation policy and fees. Some centres may not allow a booking to be cancelled or changed once it has been made. 10. Minimum age is 16. If you are under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must be present. Over 40 require a signed doctor’s medical certification. You will not be permitted to jump should you have any of the following conditions: Pregnancy, High Blood Pressure, Heart Problems, Epilepsy or Asthma. All parachutists will be required to sign a declaration of fitness. No alcohol is to be consumed on the day of your jump. Maximum weight limits: Northampton 15 stone, Nottingham 15 stone, Lancashire 14.5 stone, Perth 14 stone, Kent 14.5 stone for Men & 13.5 stone for Women & Devon 14.5 stone.

11. If the activity is cancelled due to the weather conditions, an alternative date will be offered to you.

12. Prize(s) not transferable unless agreed in writing by the Promoters.

13. Except in the case of death or personal injury caused by their negligence and so far as is permitted by law, Promoter and its associated companies and agents exclude responsibility and all liabilities arising for reasons beyond the their control [including any act or default of any travel company, airline, hotel or any other third party supplier].

14. The winner and their companion shall be responsible for ensuring that they hold a valid passport, visa and vaccinations, where applicable.

15. Promoter’s decision is final and legally binding. No correspondence will be entered into.

16. Details of the prize winner’s name and county will be available for one month after the draw by writing to Sky.Com TV Guide at the address set out below and enclosing an SAE.

17. The name, county and photograph of the winner may be used by the Promoter and its associated companies for post-event publicity purposes.
