Ok so i fell off the DFW wagon, realised it, then became ill and have been off work for about 3 weeks now feeling very sorry for myself and ignoring my bank account.
Anyway, today i have felt better so have tackled all of my bills/letters etc.
I now have a new and updated SOA (below) and another debt added that I had forgotten about (it was a nice £800 one courtsey of the ex.. ).
I really need to try and clear at least £5500 worth of the debt by the end of the year! I really do want to try and clear ALL of it, but i dont think thats going to happen. :rotfl:
Income: £1,600 per month (roughly, havent had first full wage yet)
Outgoings:
Rent: £314.20
Gas: £25.00
Electricity: £25.00
Council Tax: £97.00 (paying off a debt as well as monthly CT)
BT: £11.00
Cat Insurance: £23.00 (cant lower this, its for 2 cats)
Travel: £252.00 (hoping to cut £50 off of this soon, but no budging at mo)
Sky: £23.00 (includes phone, tv and internet)
Water: £22.30
TV licence: £12.00
Mobile: £40.00
HSBC Loan: £228.00 (ends september 08)
HSBC Credit Card: £90.00 (minimum payment)
Capital 1 Debt: £50.00
Total Out: £1,212.50
Total Left: £387.50
I havent included money for food and other necessities as i dont tend to do a weekly shop (its me and 2 cats). The cats probably need £15 a week roughly for chicken and cat litter (they have to have chicken, but i get Smartprice!) and i probably need £20 a week. So probably £30-35 a week?
Debts:
Mum: £4,750.00 (no interest. she said she wants me to pay off other debts with interest first, but i need to pay her back soon as im feeling bad!)
HSBC Loan: £1,366.26 (ends September 08)
HSBC Credit Card: £3,170.99 (15%)
Capital One: £733.45 (as of today. no interest)
Total Debts: £10,020.70
I am hoping to do a bootfair this sunday if the weather perks up, and sell whatever i can on ebay (again!).

Hi Amy, welcome back :j
Looking at your SOA nothing jumps out at me that you could change or cancel. It looks like you only have money coming out for everyday things. Could you lower your mobile cost?
You have £387 left every month, can some of this be chucked towards your debts? or do you have a lot to pay on petrol? food?
I hope the weather is nice for your bootfair on Sunday - every weekend for about 3 weeks now the weather has ruined my chance of a carboot
I hope you start feeling better soon!0 -
Hi I'm not well up on this but I have 2 cats too and my insurance for the 2 is £10.17 per month through Tesco insurance and it covers pretty much all I need. Have you shopped around for it?Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

Sorry me again! Also I have a water meter - was free to install and costs me £12.00 per month ( due to go down to £8.00) in 2 months - can you check with your supplier to see if they do water meters? I was paying £28 per month so a good saving.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
