HEADS UP! saisbury's 5p off fuel when you spend £50 instore :D

I work at sainsburys and was given this little snippet of info at a huddle last sat...(sos been meaning to post it!)

There should be an offer starting on this saturday (26th april) for 5p off fuel when you spend £50 or more instore

This is not confirmed as i only was told once last saturday, it smacks very similar to tesco's 5p off a litre deals that they do...!

I don't know exact details, i.e end date of the offer or if it is off all fuels...

When i know more info i'll post it here....if anyone already knows then please feel free to post!

It has already started.

I was in Sainsbury Liverpool (Prescot Rd Wed evening, last night) and noticed the sign. We spent over the £50 limit, and the SA handed us the receipt and I asked about the fuel voucher. The slip had slid out of the till, very nicely into her coiled hand.

She replied "Oh you mean this?" (It was just as well I spotted the sign, otherwise I dont think I would have received it!)

Can confirm, its 5p off a litre of fuel valid for 14 days from date of receipt. No stipulation on what kind of fuel. We have always used it on diesel, no problem. The sign said that the promotion ends on May 6th. HTH

So she tried to steal your fuel voucher?! I hope you mentioned it to a supervisor!

I wonder if they will do this in Scotland, given our forecasted fuel shortages .... the petrol stations are likely to run dry rather quickly.

I hope that you stopped at the Customer Service desk on the way out and reported her!
