Looks very likely - so mortgage would be 1.39% :j
The Bank of England has cut interest rates to 0.5% - a fresh all-time low - and said it was now boosting the money supply to help revive the economy.

Nope, not as of yet. No change on the online rate quote on my account either.

I've had mine but I added £100 / month onto my payments which is due to start April and it had the 1.39% on it.

  • Not had my change of rate letter yet which is odd as it normally comes on 20th?? anyone else missing their letter?
  • Not got mine either, but I have just checked on-line and found that the 'Monthly Payments' amount is now equal to 1.39%

New payment shown online - will be 1.39%

Anyone notice the mistake they made on their website recently? Their new 2 year tracker mortgage was shown as 3.49% which supposedly was BoE base rate plus 2.49%. Whoops! Now correct at 2.99%!

    Thanks for that.

Also, when you call their Mortgages call center, there is now an option to hear a canned message assuring us that the Flexible Mortgage continues to maintain its rate promise of "less than .90% above the base rate". So good news... though I wish I had the letter in hand. We don't see the changes in rates online as we overpay a fixed amount each month.
