Learn Direct, any good???

I currently work 1 day a week for the NHS, they are offering Learn Direct courses and I was considering doing one???
I am a clerk at the moment and when Children are older I would like to progress and do more hours but am unsure what course (s) would be best. I am not sure what area of work I am particularly interested in???
Has anyone any experience of Learn Direct and could recommend a course?

Thanks

    Hi there

The only Learn Direct course I have done is the level 2 maths which is GCSE equivalent. I needed this to my my Higher Level Teaching Assistant course as I did not get O' level (shows my age!) at school. I thought it was ok. I could not attend every week as I should have done so they gave me a disk so I could get on with it myself. Then I went to the centre to do the test online and passed (shock!) I got the results straight away. Then they sent me a certificate.

    Good luck.
  • Hi, I did a course for me fork truck license a few years ago and they were very professional. Classwork was done in their office on a pc and then obviously practical arranged for when we passed our theory so I can only praise them for what I did.
  • I did like them once as you are able to do the course online and not have to go into a center every day. But it really depends on the courses your looking for.

I did not find that they are rated very highly, Thats the courses of course. Like I said it depends on the qualification you have already.

Its free to join though so its worth a try.

Seen the development people at work and have offered me a fully funded NVQ in Business Administration, so I can start in a couple of weeks, should take around 6 months apparently. They also said I can do another straight after, maybe Project Administration or something, so sounds good

I have done two courses with them, worked online from home then went to centre once every two weeks. Passed both and would recommend them.
