Hoping to Move House!!!

Hi Folks,
I recently moved into my first flat (4 in a block type cottage flat...not high story) last September (2007) after living on a farm with my parents most of my life. Everything about the house is fantastic apart from one problem....the neighbours!! Coming from peaceful surroundings on a farm, I am finding it EXTREMELY difficult living in a flat where there is a young couple upstairs.
Yes, you may feel that I am finding it more difficult because of where I previously lived, but I have had friends round who have also indicated that they are overly noisy. Its not the music or shouting or anything...its the squeeky floorboards that wake me up at 5am, there alarm that wakes me up, their dog that keeps runnin about, there constant banging and thumping as they walk across the floor at all times of the night. I am not being far fetched when I say this, but I havent been able to have a long lie at the weekends since I moved in and I am getting very stressed and tired and I am sure its starting to affect my health!!
Anyways, my point of my post is that I want to move, I have a fixed rate mortgage for 5yrs which started in Sept 2007. I have started a new job in December which has given me a lot more income and can now apply for a bigger mortgage to maybe get myself a house rather than a flat. Do you think my mortgage company will waiver any penalties I would incur for applying for a much larger mortgage (extra 25%) with them, or if I applied to a new mortgage company, would they pay the penalties bearing in mind I am only 8 or 9months into my 5yr fixed!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Phil

I think you'll find that as long as you stay with them and that you buy somewhere immediately, then they'll waiver it (or make you pay and then refund it). You need to ring your mortgage company.
Don't get too excited though, you need to sell your flat first!!! Call of Duty widow :rolleyes:0 -
Yes phone your lender ask thme if the mortgage is portable if they say yes then you are in. So sell the property and ask current lender for further advance for new property. Job done0
