i just bought one from a charity shop....but no needle!

does anyone know what size needle i need to get?
2011- new year, new start.

    The size of the needle depends on the fabric. The finer the fabric the smaller the needle, the heavier or coarser the material the larger the needle.

    You can buy mixed packs fo needles, but you may find you only use the mid weight ones and decide on packs of this size.

    You do get different types of needles for different makes of machines, but any shop could help you with a singer machine. As the domestic machines all take the same. Hope that helps.
