WHSmith Clearance Sale

I was in WHSmith yesterday (Croydon Whitgift) and there was a few shelves worth of clearance items. Mainly things to make with kids, like sand art packs for 99p, or larger make and do sets for 1.99. There was also lots of storage boxes (in a hideous purple) and photo files, squidgy mousemats, miscellaneous cables for printers etc, quality Reeves paints, some Harry Potter stuff, and some cheap software for the computer. I picked up mainly arty things, packs of stickers etc, as my mum is a childminder, and also a triple pack Zoo Tycoon PC game for 2.49.
There were also boxes of Christmas decorations and ribbons for about 30p.
Prices ranged from about 29p to 4.99 (for some of the Reeves stuff), but it was nice having a root around. I do not know if this clearance sale is in all WHSmith's, and the prices aren't your cheap as chips 10p bargains - but still fairly cheap!

They had begun putting out wedding keepsake boxes down to £2.99, party invitations cheap, photo albums reduced, ans sticker factory for £12.99, but the lady said those were these month's stock so not as reduced as the other stuff.

Having unpacked my shopping found another bargain I'd forgotten. A 'body glove' pad folio with expanding file, £9.99 to £1.49, pink and very durable.

Not much left in my local store, a few good books for 50p each and VHS tapes at 20p which is great for my daughter :)

On another note WH Smith are selling dvd's from £2 up which is very good for them! Might be worth a look while your there....

Another thing I remembered was very good prices on DVD - R and Plus R. But I coyuldn't remember which I wanted... I think Smiths are very over priced to start off with but they do decent reductions.
