Also - I know it's hard but if you can, pay it in full as when you pay monthly they charge horrendous interest. Better to chuck it on a 0% cc.

  • What is the car?

If it is high powered or modified that can affect the cost

Although, not very macho, could the other half get a super mini, like a Corsa which is cheap to run and is a low insurance group

It also has a low tax disc each year as well

72x12=864!!! On car insurance? That's loads. Can you switch to someone else? I am with morethan and pay £300 for basic insurance not including busines use I grant you, but still. AND I have three points. Shop around cos that seems ridiculously high. Unless your OH is 17???

Its not that ridiculous really. My hubby is 21 and has 7 points on his licence for speeding. His insurance on a J reg old banger is £733, and that is only 3rd party fire and theft. car insurance for certain age groups, convictions and even postcodes vary a lot. Sometimes it doesn't matter how much you shop around, the price is what it is.

    Worked for me.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
