well i can't beleive this! i live in preston and tired last year an NO luck, thought i would apply this year and travel down but thought i had ZERO chance so made no arrangements, and guess what i just checked my email and it says i got a pair for saturday but cant change my shifts and get off work! im gutted, why couldn't i have got them when i could have walked to the gig, why can't they give more notice if you have got tickets?
before people have a go at me about not begging for time off before i got the email i applied for preston and NONE of my friends or family got a ticket so i thought i had no chance esp as i am outside of kent. i guess i have to return them what a b*mmer.
I had exactly the same problem last year!!! I lived just 5 mins from Moor Park in Preston and was gutted when I found out neither myself or my partner had been sucessful for tickets. Local residents where up in arms and grumbling to the local paper, whereas I found myself bidding on spare tickets people didnt want on Ebay! However, when I found that even they where going way out of my price reach.......so I decided to stay up all night and ring the early morning breakfast show (starting at 5) and managed to get on air & win a pair of weekend tickets! (A cometition that wasnt fixed lol!!)
We had a fantastic time, the atmosphere was amazing and we saw some amazing bands.......for all those going to this years, I hope you enjoy it......I was unsuccessful yet again through the email ballot this year, but I shall be listening on the radio with fond memories of making a complete prat of myself live on Radio 1!NEVER look down at somebody....unless you are helping them up.0 -

I live in kent and applied when only 1950 tickets had gone and did not get any, none of my family were successful either, and we all went on line as soon as the tickets were offered!0

i won tickets for this , but have since found that i wont be able to go. Have asked that they be given to someone else to enjoy.0
-
In my opinion, i think the tickets should be allocated to that county only.0

It wasn't "first come first serve" when the lines were closed all applicants were put together and names picked at random0
