Vanish/OxiClean etc

Can't think where else to put this..........

Has anyone used Lidl's W5 stain remover powder version of Vanish? It's quite a lot cheaper and I'm wondering whether it's any good. Or any other recommendation?

I have a lot of tablecloths to wash regularly that have food and drink stains on.

thanks for that - i will not bother trying it then and stick to me vanish - i only use it once in a while (only 1/2 a scoop)!

i always put 1/2 a cap full of Ace bleach in with the washing, especially if its DS's muddy rugby kit. wash it on a 40 wash, and it always comes out clean. i use wash powder as well, obviously!

i also put 1/2 a cap full in with other washloads, and then i can just wash them on 30. never had any problems, just make sure you start your washer as soon as you put the Ace in ;)

Have you noticed any fading of colours with Ace?

I use Bio-tex powder in green box about 1.75 in Tesco. It recently won the Which report review (sad i know!) and does not seem to fade colours or affect sensitive skin and is economical. I have a daughter who likes to challenge me with the state of her clothes and this always does well.

    Hope this helps.
