watch out people there is a spoof letter saying your paypal account is suspended and directing you to click the link and log in which ofcourse would be silly if you are thinking straight but if you get it, it is quite like a paypal style letter and you might just do it without thinking.
I just got it and checked mine without going through the link 'provided' and my account is fine.
The link goes to someone called creativetelecoms
I know its not the techie board but a lot of us on the 'up your income' board use paypal for our online earnings.

This is how to be certain its a spoof email - if the message reads 'Dear Customer...' then it's a spoof; it it reads 'Dear...' and then your name, then it's a genuine paypal email. I actually fell for this and got taken to a spoof website that looked exactly like paypal and was asked for my account details. Luckily, my computer came up with a 'fraud detected' message.
Also, I'd like to add that both 'Natwest' and 'HSBC' have been emailing me asking for my account details, which is interesting so I don't have account with eiher of them....
My mum has also been getting fraudsters phoning up pretending to be the bank and askin for her account details. When she asked why they were asking her they hung up!
There's a lot of evil people about :mad:0 -
Funnily enough I have recieved this to my hotmail addy which isn'tlinked to my paypal account.
'Natwest' and 'halifax' are also sending similar emails telling me they have detected access from a 'forgein computer' andinviting me to follow alink to give old and new passwords or they will close my accounts
Funny considering i don't have accounts with them anywayMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000
